14. Cole Fuchs- Chapter 5 (04/21/2023)
In chapter 5 habitat lose and landscapes are mentioned and it made me think what kind of solutions came be given to help these habitats keep thriving how they used to before human interaction. If human interaction with landscapes needs to happen due to need of resources then there should be some more laws put into place so humans stop just depleting and then leaving as well as polluting. To prevent the lose of habitat due to need for resources there should be government officials that make sure if its trees destroyed then new trees are planted to replace those chopped down as well as chopping down trees in moderation and not wiping a forest clean in a year leaving it as a waste land for the next 30 years. To counter mining then mines should be cleaned up and taken back down to avoid leaking chemicals and other materials that are harmful to the environment instead of just leaving abandoned mines around that can cause problems in the future. For pollution officials should be put in charge to monitor and guide company's in what they need to do to avoid pollution of the environment and to clean up after operations are done so the environment is in the best condition it can be after the company leaves the area.
