Aaron Allen - Pilgrimage as Self Discovery (outside reading 5)
I found this article to be a great story! I enjoyed reading it as it shows that Dr. Redick was open to adventure and explore even with the unknown. It takes a great deal of courage to go on a journey with little idea of what is ahead of you. It also shows the power in friendships and being determined as Famino was once a homeless man suffering from drug addiction. Instead of being in a revolving cycle of homelessness and addiction, he put forth his goal to explore and do something meaningful with his time. The idea of taking an adventure without intention of finding an ending allows for nature and God to take control. In this situation, God put Famino in a position to better his life and take part in this adventure that would benefit him in ways that he would not know until he was done. Additionally, the article shows that time is valuable. The article did this by presenting the story of Sugar Daddy, who lost his wife as he devoted time to work rather than his wife. I like this article because there are many life lessons to learn from it and apply to my daily life.
