Chapter 11: Environmental Awareness
This chapter is an overall clarity to humans that there has been notice of the active environmental problems that are occurring around the world and that disasters from the past are being learned from to adopt better laws and regulations to the environment today. The chapter speaks on land ethics which are essentially means the search for sustainable development. I can relate to this chapter after being enrolled in an environmental leadership class and learning about the great environmentalist John Muir, who was responsible for creating the Sierra Club, which establishes good practices are environmentalism in the outdoors and works hard to protect wildlife parks and areas to ensure use for future generations. Being able to have some cross curriculum learning is very interesting once getting into your major classes since you learn a lot more from a broad spectrum of ideas, in this case, sustainability.
