Chapter 5: The Architecture of the Planet
I found Chapter 5 of the textbook very entertaining and interesting such it covers the basic functions of how the earth produces its natural works of nature through processes of weather, sun, water and climates. Being an environmental studies major, I took large notice in the global warming section that comes from the warming of the sun through greenhouse gases that creates an annual higher temperature in the atmosphere. I connected well with this chapter since I worked at a botanical garden last summer and in many greenhouses that were used to grow seasonal plants that required specific temperature and amounts of water. Having a background in what goes into the plant growth process gave me an appreciation of this chapter and how the climates work over time and create change.
