Scottie Gilg- Chapter 5, the Architecture of the Planet (class reading 3)

In chapter five, the architecture of the planet. I found it very interesting as it discusses how Earth produces its natural works through weather, sun, water, and climate. I liked the comparison of the apple and the Earth as I was not aware the skin of an apple has about the same relative thickness as the Earth's biosphere. Where it talked about climates and global circulation was also interesting from the graphs and different definitions such as "jet streams" it talked about. Global warming is a very serious issue, and as an environmental studies major, it is something that I do care about learning more about. I enjoyed reading the section about how the sun's warming combined with greenhouse gasses creates an annual higher temperature in the atmosphere.
