Scottie Gilg- Chapter 7, Climate change (class reading 2)

Chapter 7 in, Humans in the Landscape discusses climate change and what has occurred since the industrial revolution. It went into a deep dive into the greenhouse effect, global warming, sea level rise, etc. Climate change is something that I have found very interesting since I was about to take Dr. Finns Geography class last spring semester. When I first signed up for the course, it said GEOG, and for some reason, I thought I was taking a class about geology, not geography. To my surprise, on the first day, he was talking about redlining, not rocks. However, that became one of my favorite classes to this date as we talked about the racism behind redlining, climate change, and the effect of if we reach a 1.5-degree planet. I enjoyed reading this chapter as it did go into a deep understanding of CO2, climate change, and tackling the problem of climate change. I agree with the book when it says reducing greenhouse gasses will be challenging and costly, but it is far from impossible for humans to control climate change.
