Veterans Healing Reading: Joseph Lawson

For many veterans, transitioning back to civilian life after serving in the military can be challenging. The physical and emotional tolls of service can leave a lasting impact, often leading to feelings of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

However, one-way veterans find peace, and healing is by connecting with nature. There is a growing movement to help veterans reconnect with nature for spiritual healing. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can positively impact mental health and well-being, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression.

For veterans, the benefits of nature can be compelling. Many veterans have spent long periods in harsh environments, surrounded by destruction and violence. Reconnecting with nature can starkly contrast those experiences, offering a sense of peace and tranquility.
